“All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware.” – Martin Buber
First, yes I am alive. Though barely. Tonight is actually the first night in two weeks that I left work before 7. It felt amazing.
So for this week, I wanted to show some random pictures from my trip to the Mediterranean that I hadn’t posted, but were still some of my faves for random reasons, and who knows why I didn’t post them! I took so many pictures, I couldn’t possibly show them all in the posts I did. Even these aren’t all of my faves, but some that stood out as I went through my albums again.
First up, this corner of a tapestry in the Vatican museum. I had to walk out of the room, I was close to snorting from laughter. I don’t know why it hit me like that. Ten points if you know where this is from.
And then there are the guard dogs of Athens.
In Athens, there were also some aptly named restaurants.
The biggest meringue I’ve ever seen.
Another view of the side of Santorini, Greece.
And somehow I left this out of my Pompeii post?! This is a replica of a mural featuring the battle between Alexander the Great and Darius.
A view of St. Mark’s Square in Venice from the cruise ship [we got sooo lucky with our view as we left!].
Hope everyone has been having a great week!
