Wandering Wednesday – Rome! [Part 2]

Whoa, it feels like my last big post was last year, you guys,

Herp.

So here we go! Gonna jump right in because for some reason, the pup is all up and crazy and won’t leave my arms alone for more than a few minutes at a time. Today I wanted to show pictures from the Colosseum.

Not to sound super cheesy, but I totally cried when I first saw this monument. It was so amazing, and the whole trip had really left me stunned, and this being the last city, it all really got to me.

It was HUGE.

I also discovered on this whole trip that I was really into seeing text – to see words that someone had put down, it felt more human to me than seeing the architecture. Which I know might sound crazy, but for some reason that’s what resonates more with me.

And I love this shot, with the sun shining, the blue sky – it was a gorgeous day.

So that’s some pictures from the Colosseum! I’m sorry for the lack of actual content today. Hopefully next week things will be a bit more calm! I still have way too many pictures from Rome. Or not enough. I hope everyone is having a great 2013 so far!
