Adventure Time Tuesday – Food Appreciation Post

“We should look for someone to eat and drink with before looking for something to eat and drink.” – Epicurus

So, I love food. I love to eat, and I love trying [most] things at least once. Except tomatoes. So today, to celebrate all the food I’ve eaten as I’ve traveled, I thought I would post a picture from some places I’ve been – my favorites. Also, the thing I take pictures the most of is food. XD

Paris, France
Without question, my favorite thing I have eaten in Paris was the ile flottante. It was light, airy, and the custard was deliciously sweet.

My first ile flottante, picture taken with a camera phone.

Berlin, Germany
This is a tough one. I can’t quite explain it, but I developed an obsession with currywurst that can only be helped when I am visiting Berlin.

BUT WAIT there is also a favorite dessert, rote grutze. It’s just gooseberries with a vanilla sauce.

I may have added more sauce after this picture

Maui, Hawaii
In Maui we had a special treat, with a chef coming to the condo we were staying at to cook a dinner for us. This isn’t a normal occurrence by any means. It was all part of my now husband’s grand scheme to propose to me. ;) So considering that most of the time we spent in Maui we ate in our condo, I guess it’s fitting my favorite dish comes from this meal.

Bottom is ahi tuna with a wasabi cream sauce, upper right a fruit salad, upper left is a blue fin tuna tartar.

Las Vegas, Nevada
For my birthday last year, we went to Las Vegas for the weekend just to hang out and eat lots of food. The top spot we went to was Delmonico’s Steakhouse at the Venetian Hotel. We ordered the tableside Caesar salad, and weren’t disappointed.

The best caesar salad I've ever had.

I really can’t wait until the cruise, and how much food I will be able to try in Italy/Greece. \o/
