“There is one spectacle grander than the sea, that is the sky; there is one spectacle grander than the sky, that is the interior of the soul.” – Victor Hugo
I think one of the benefits of having family over in Germany now is sometimes going to places that I would not normally get to. One trip, we went to the island of Usedom, in the city of Usedom, which is up north, and right on the border with Poland.
This place was very quaint, and a big change from my stay in Berlin. For example, this was a ferry that was just a guy in a paddle boat.
We also got to check out the small town nearby. Walking up to the church, I got an awesome view of the city.
And I have this crazy obsession of the remainders of city walls. I think it’s amazing that at one point cities were small enough that everyone could stay in one.
And then of course I visited my third body of water! The Baltic Sea.
Aaaaand then, there were cows. XD
