“Travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living.” – Miriam Beard
If someone had told me 4 years ago that before I was 30 I would have traveled to the following places:
I would have looked at them like they were crazy and suspected that they were trying to sell me a timeshare. And backed away slowly.
But somehow, this is where I am in my life. This May I will be going on my first cruise ever, traveling through the Mediterranean, getting to see sights that I really never thought would be possible. I will get to see Rome, Pompeii, Venice, Rhodes. . .and so many other cities I keep losing track. And okay, I will admit, I want to walk the promenade on the ship at sunset and quote the Titanic movie, because I am terribly in love with that tragic movie. I know, it’s terrible.
I’ve only been traveling this much since May of 2008, which makes it all even weirder. Getting to experience all these new places just makes me appreciate where I have come from and how hard I’ve worked to get to this point in my life, and makes me believe that I really can move forward and continue to reach my goals!
